Experience Simple Country Living
Family Farm Days
Slow Down, Spend Time Outdoors, and Experience a Little Farm Life Together
This summer and fall, we are opening our small family farm near Tryon, NC for limited-capacity Family Farm Days centered around horses, outdoor play, animals, and meaningful time together.
These gatherings are intentionally relaxed and small in scale — designed for approximately 6–8 families at a time — with space for children to explore, parents to unwind, and everyone to enjoy a slower-paced day on the farm.
Children will have opportunities to interact with and ride horses, play outdoors, collect eggs, create crafts, and simply enjoy unstructured time in nature. Parents can relax with barn mocktails, appetizers, shaded seating, and conversation while children participate in supervised activities nearby.
This is not a large commercial farm attraction, but rather a peaceful and personal family farm experience focused on connection, outdoor childhood, and simple moments together.
Typical Schedule
- 10:00 AM – Arrival at the Barn
- Families arrive and settle in with farm-inspired mocktails, light hors d’oeuvres, shaded seating, and time to explore the farm atmosphere.
- Horse Grooming & Horse Education
- Children learn about horses through supervised grooming sessions, horse education, and gentle interaction with the animals.
- Walk to the Riding Ring
- Families walk together with the horses to the riding ring for riding activities and outdoor games. Shaded seating is provided while children ride or play.
- Riding Ring Activities
- Optional horseback riding and pony rides, hobby horse games, sack races, and outdoor play.
- Picnic at the Barn
- Families return to the barn for a relaxed long-table picnic gathering. Families are encouraged to bring their own picnic lunch, while appetizers and barn mocktails will be provided.

About the Farm
Our little farm is home to horses, chickens, children, muddy boots, and lots of time spent outdoors. These gatherings are inspired by a belief that childhood does not always need to be over-scheduled or overcomplicated — sometimes the best memories come from animals, nature, conversation, and simply being together outside.
We hope these days feel welcoming, grounding, and joyfully simple for families.
